Fireworks at the Park

The Independence Day celebration at Friendship Park, the first annual “4th of July Extravaganza,” presented by The Friends of the Columbia-Marion County Library featured a fireworks display, an ice cream buffet, patriotic music, and live entertainment. The audience was treated to an address by the Friends of the Library President Dr. Ron Jordan and to musical perfomances by Tori Gay, Joanna Sabine, and Jerry & Carolyn Norris on the Zellco Stage.
The event was organized by writer Brandi Perry, the ice cream was donated by the Second Street Bean, the fireworks were donated by H&R Fireworks, and the fireworks display was performed by the the Columbia Fire Department. All of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Columbia-Marion County Library.
