Registration for the 2010 Columbia Youth Football League will be held in the Community Room at the Columbia Expo Center from 9:00 until 12:00 on Saturday, August 7, 2010.  This will be the only date and time for sign-ups.  The registration fee is $40.

All boys attending Columbia City Schools, Bassfield, West Marion, and East Marion schools in grades 4-7 who will not be 13 years of age prior to September 1, 2010, are eligible for the program.  7th graders may not weigh more than 150 pounds, but there is no weight limit for younger boys.  Players are required to furnish their own helmets and shoes, but all other equipment will be provided.

Each team will be divided into two levels: 4th and 5th graders will be assigned to a Midget Team, and 6th and 7th graders will make up a Youth League Team.  Separate games are scheduled for both levels.

At registration, all boys must be weighed and have a parent’s consent form completed.  Proof of age must be furnished for all boys who have never participated.  Any players who do not have medical insurance should purchase insurance through their schools.  Although not required, all players are urged to have physicals prior to registration.

The 2010 program will consist of one midget and one youth league each from Columbia City Schools, Bassfield, West Marion, and East Marion public schools.  All games will be played on Saturdays, with the first game set for Saturday, September 18, 2010.

Any girls interested in participating as cheerleaders should register at the same time and place designated for players.
