Candlelight, Carols and Claus

The spirit of the Christmas season was in the air this year at Candlelight, Carols and Claus on Main Street in downtown Columbia.  There were bells ringing and people singing and the lighting of the trees on the Courthouse Square.  The crowd snacked on funnel cakes, popcorn and fried candy bars as they enjoyed the Christmas displays in the storefronts downtown.

    It has been quite some time it seems since there was any new material posted to the Marion County Journal. What a pleasant surprise to find some new items posted this morning! Very interesting to note that even with outdated material, the journal still manages to easily outclass all other local news websites! Keep up the good work!
